About Grease Trap Cleaning Gold Coast — Licensed & Compliant
Trusted grease trap cleaning professionals serving Gold Coast and surrounding areas.
Keep Your Kitchen Compliant
Queensland regulations require all food businesses to maintain their grease traps to prevent fats, oils, and grease from entering the sewer system. Non-compliance can result in fines from Gold Coast City Council and even forced closure of your kitchen. We provide fast, reliable grease trap pump outs and cleaning for restaurants, cafes, bakeries, hotels, clubs, and any commercial kitchen on the Gold Coast.
Our licensed operators handle everything — from scheduled maintenance to emergency blockages — so you can focus on running your business. Every service includes a full pump out, internal cleaning of baffles and walls, inspection for damage or wear, and a compliance certificate you can show to council inspectors.
We understand that grease trap issues do not wait for business hours. That is why we offer emergency callouts across the Gold Coast, often responding within a few hours. Whether it is a weekend dinner rush or a public holiday, we are available when you need us most.
Under Queensland's Environmental Protection Act and the Trade Waste Policy, every food business that produces fats, oils, and grease must have an approved grease trap installed and maintained on a regular schedule. Gold Coast City Council inspectors can request your maintenance records at any time, and failure to produce them can lead to infringement notices starting from $2,000.
We take the hassle out of compliance by setting up a regular maintenance schedule tailored to your kitchen's output. High-volume restaurants typically need pump outs every 4-6 weeks, while smaller cafes might only need servicing every 8-12 weeks. We will assess your setup and recommend a schedule that keeps you compliant without over-servicing.
During each visit, our technicians pump out all accumulated grease and solids, clean the trap interior, check baffles and seals for damage, and test the inlet and outlet flow. We dispose of all liquid waste at licensed facilities in accordance with Queensland regulations.
We service the entire Gold Coast from Coolangatta to Coomera, including Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise, Southport, Robina, Nerang, Mudgeeraba, Palm Beach, Mermaid Beach, Burleigh Heads, Currumbin, Helensvale, Oxenford, Varsity Lakes, and Ormeau. We also cover Tweed Heads and northern NSW, as well as Logan and southern Brisbane.
What Happens During a Service
When our licensed operator arrives, the first step is to locate and open your grease trap, which is often outside the kitchen or in a designated bay. We then pump out the entire contents — the floating grease layer, the liquid, and the settled solids at the bottom.
With the trap empty, we scrape and clean the interior walls, baffles, and the inlet and outlet sections, removing the hardened grease a pump cannot lift. We check the seals, lid, and flow for any signs of damage or wear. Finally, we dispose of all waste at a licensed facility and leave you with a compliance certificate for your records. A standard single-trap service is usually done within the hour, with minimal disruption to your kitchen.
Staying Compliant with Council
Under Queensland's Environmental Protection Act and trade waste policy, every food business that produces fats, oils, and grease must have an approved grease trap and maintain it on a regular schedule. Gold Coast City Council inspectors can request your maintenance records at any time, and failing to produce them can lead to infringement notices starting from around $2,000.
The standard council uses is the 25% rule: your trap should be cleaned before grease and solids reach a quarter of its depth. Once that threshold is passed, the trap stops working effectively and grease can pass into the sewer. We build your service schedule around staying well under that threshold, and we keep your paperwork current so a council inspection is never a worry.
Servicing the Whole Gold Coast
We cover the entire Gold Coast, from Coolangatta on the southern border up to Coomera and Ormeau in the north, and out to the hinterland towns. That includes the busy dining precincts of Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, and Burleigh Heads, the commercial hubs of Southport and Robina, and everything in between.
We also service Tweed Heads and northern New South Wales, as well as Logan and the southern suburbs of Brisbane. Wherever your kitchen is, we can build it into our regular runs, which keeps your servicing reliable and your callout costs down. Emergency response is available across the whole region, seven days a week.
